What is the Meme Generator?
The Meme Generator is a free online tool that lets you place text over any image to create internet memes instantly. No image editing software is needed. Everything runs in your browser, and the finished meme can be downloaded as a PNG file.
Add top text, bottom text, or both, then customize font size, text color, and outline color to match your vision. The live preview updates as you type, so you can fine-tune your meme before downloading.
How It Works
The meme generator overlays text on images using Canvas API. It draws the user-selected image on a canvas, then adds bold white text with black outlines at top/bottom using fillText() and strokeText(). Classic meme style with Impact font and uppercase is the default, with customizable font size and position.
