Pomodoro Timer
25 min focus, 5 min break for better productivity

Long break after 4 sessions
What is the Pomodoro Timer?
The Pomodoro Timer is a digital implementation of the Pomodoro Technique, a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It alternates between 25-minute focused work sessions and 5-minute breaks, with a longer break after every 4 sessions, to maximize productivity and prevent burnout. The name comes from the tomato-shaped kitchen timer Cirillo originally used.
How It Works
The Pomodoro timer implements Francesco Cirillo's time management technique. It repeats 25-minute work sessions (pomodoros) + 5-minute breaks, with a 15-30 minute long break after 4 sets. setInterval updates the timer each second, Notification API signals session completion, and localStorage persists progress.
