What is a Password Generator?
A password generator is a tool that creates cryptographically secure random passwords. It combines uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters to produce passwords that are impossible to predict. Human-created passwords tend to follow patterns that make them vulnerable to attacks, but this tool uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator (Web Crypto API) to deliver truly random passwords.
How It Works
The password generator uses a cryptographically secure pseudo-random number generator (CSPRNG). It calls the browser's crypto.getRandomValues() API to produce unpredictable random numbers and maps them to your chosen character set (uppercase, lowercase, digits, symbols). Unlike Math.random(), CSPRNG seeds cannot be guessed, ensuring generated password security. Password strength is measured in entropy (bits), a function of character set size and length.
